Every ride can't be perfect.

If you’ve been riding bikes for any length of time you know the feeling of a “bad” ride. This goes for road riders and mountain bikers alike. It can be one of the most frustrating things you can experience on a ride, and believe it or not it happens to every rider. Is it something we can fix, I don’t think so. Is there something we can do about it? Yes, don’t let it bother you and don’t dwell on it. It’s going to happen and we need to accept it, but what we don’t need to do is beat ourselves up about it. So before you get upset or possibly injured, take the opportunity to tone down the ride and make it about something else. Remind yourself about why you ride bikes. Is it to have a perfect ride every time you sit in the saddle, or is it because you simply love riding bikes. Make the ride about fun and goofing off, or use this time to take in the beauty of the scenery around you. It’s much easier and less frustrating than trying to force a good ride when your body’s just not into it. Think about all the good rides you've had, and great rides yet to come.
